Since its introduction, the Planmeca Compact dental unit line sets the standards for ergonomic, aesthetic and user-friendly modern dental units. Safety and well-being
The well thought design of the Planmeca Compact-c unit helps the dental team to follow rigorous infection control procedures. All the parts exposed to contamination are removable or protected by removable elements.
Planmeca Compact’s uniform and smooth surfaces are easy to clean. The unit is made of corrosion-free recyclable materials, and the metal body has a resistant and hygienic epoxy paint finish. The cover of the instrument console is seamless, and the control panel has an easy-to-clean membrane cover. The seamless upholstery is easy to clean and stands up to repeated use of recommended cleaning agents.
Exceptional chair design
Combining dental team working ergonomics with patient comfort is an important design consideration for any patient chair. The Planmeca Chair ultra-thin and anatomically correct backrest ingeniously fulfils both aspects. The absence of chair base provides exceptional leg room and easy-to-maintain clear floor surface for the dental team. The wide backrest features a compensating movement providing support for the patient.
The smooth, seamless design of the standard upholstery looks great and is easy to maintain. Alternatively, the chair can be equipped with the viscoelastic Ultra upholstery,which adapts perfectly to follow the patient’s anatomy.
The Ultra upholstery is filled with special viscoelastic foam that takes the patient's body shape and restores its original shape after the treatment. The Ultra upholstery provides extra comfort, appreciated especially in long treatment sessions.

Smooth movements - easy operation
To maximise stability and movability, the instrument cart has a low centre of gravity. The finest double wheel casters roll smoothly on various surfaces, making maneuvering very easy. The telescopic column has a long height adjustment range, making the unit adaptable for different sized users. The user can freely adjust the angle of each instrument holder, so that he/she always has the best possible access to each instrument. The instrument cart can be equipped with up to five instruments.
The left-hand place is for the syringe, but the four universal Plug&Perform positions can adapt any instrument from Planmeca's range. Optionally, the cart can be supplied with a 6th instrument position for Planmeca Intracam.
Thorough aseptics
Planmeca Compact’s uniform and smooth surfaces are easy to clean. The unit is made of corrosion-free materials, and the metal body has a resistant and hygienic epoxy paint finish. The instrument holders are removable for easy cleaning or thermodisinfection.
The smooth console surfaces and the membrane covered control panel are also easy to keep clean.
Intuitive controls
The unit control panel includes powerful controls of the unit functions. The multifunctional foot control provides easy-touse and aseptic hands-free controls of the chair, unit and instruments. The stable and reliable mechanical construction and logical functionality contribute to easy and intuitive use.
The advanced control system allows that the foot control functions can be customized so that the user can create an operation logic that best suits him/her. The foot control is connected to the unit column or the cart base, depending on the user's habits.
These features make the foot control ideal for a diversity of user needs.
Independent cart
The independent cart, a special version of the Planmeca Compactc unit, is designed for special applications, primarily for surgical dentistry. In this superb design, the mobile instrument console is connected to a special junction box which makes the unit highly attractive to hospitals, implantologists and other special treatments.

The ultimate in stand-alone chair design
Planmeca Chair ingeniously combines patient comfort and the dental team’s working ergonomics. With its slim backrest and intuitive controls, the chair provides good ergonomics, and supports modern and efficient treatment methods.
The ultra-thin backrest and the gracious free space under the chair contribute to superior leg room. Therefore it is easy to adopt correct working postures, which promote optimized ergonomics and easy access to the oral cavity.
180-degree swivel
The Planmeca Chair features an exclusive 180-degree swivel. This provides unique freedom in operatory design and is especially appreciated where space is limited and when access to an intraoral X-ray unit or other peripheral equipment is needed.
The swivel is released with a foot-operated mechanism located on the chair base. The swivel foot switch allows easy and aseptic access for both the doctor and the assistant.
Surgical armrest
As special option, the chair can be equipped with a surgical IV-armrest for immolizing the patient's arm e.g. during sedation. |
