Ergonomic excellence
To maximise working comfort, the exceptional design of the over-the-patient delivery arm ensures light, precise and well-balanced movements. The arm provides effortless operation and a stable lock-free height adjustment.
The small instrument console can be positioned very near the oral cavity without disturbing patient comfort. Dual handles on both sides of the console allow its easy positioning.
Light instrument handling
The over-the-patient delivery concept with balanced instrument arms provides highly ergonomic working conditions. The access to the instruments and the unit control panel is easy from both sides of the unit. The new optional assistant’s control panel available for both suction arms even ameliorate the practical and flexible teamwork.
Equipped with silicon-coated hoses, the instruments are light and pleasant to work with. The perfectly balanced instrument arms are flexible forward and sideways to assure sufficient reach.
Reliable control system
The Planmeca Compacta can be equipped with up to five instruments, including a 3-way syringe, a turbine, an air-motor, an air scaler and the Air Flow prophylaxis instrument. The suction arm can be equipped with additional assistant's instruments.
The disc type foot control includes the power/speed control and selector switches for instrument spray and chip blow. The patient chair has 4+1 userprogrammable automatic positions, all operated from the hygienic control panel. A chair foot control is available as option.
Extendable with modern instruments
Modern high-performance instruments can be added to the Planmeca Compacta unit, which means that you can get higher performance by simply extending the economical basic unit.
- The MX brushless micromotor kit provides exceptional performance, ease of operation and maintenance-free operation;
- The electric micromotor kit includes the MC-3 electric micromotor instrument;
- Latest generation LED polymerization lights that provide fast polymerization of light-cured dental materials, operate quietly and offer user convenience with lightweight design;
- The LM-PowerHand scaler kit that contains the new ultrasonic scaler instrument featuring an excellent performance and ergonomic operation thanks to the removable and autoclavable silicon grip handle.
Visionary patient chair design
The dental team ergonomics and the patient comfort are ingeniously solved with the ultra-thin and anatomically correct backrest of the patient chair. Absence of the chair base leaves exceptional legroom and allows easy-to-maintain clear floor surface.
To ensure the patient’s comfort, the chair provides a wide and stable support for the back and a compensating movement of the backrest. The double articulated adjustable headrest is easy to position for optimal visibility into the oral cavity.
Rigorous and easy aseptics
The well thought hygiene design of the Planmeca Compact unit helps the dental team to follow rigorous infection control procedures. All parts exposed to contamination are removable or protected by removable elements.
- The instruments and suction handpieces are detachable for sterilization.
- The hygiene membrane of the instrument console can be thermodisinfected.
- All instrument arms and hoses are removable for easy cleaning.
- The glass bowl can be removed for cleaning.
- The handle of the operating light can be thermodisinfected.
Easy-to-clean surfaces
Planmeca Compact’s uniform and smooth surfaces are easy to clean. The unit is made of corrosion-free materials, and the metal body has a resistant and hygienic epoxy paint finish.
The instrument console cover is of seamless moulded plastic, and the control panel has a hygienic membrane cover. Easy-toclean, the seamless upholstery stands up to repeated use of recommended cleaning agents. |
